Museum of the Radio (Bellaria) Museums & Exhibitions Technical and Economic Provision Project for the renovation and new exhibition design of the "Sulle Onde della Storia" Radio Museum, within the creation of a new Museum Hub in Bellaria-Igea Marina. The project aims to centralize various cultural collections within the Panzini Municipal Library, located in the Isola dei Platani area, the city's pedestrian heart. This setting offers a spacious, well-equipped environment with visitor services and educational areas. Through a multimedia exhibition path, the new setup will enhance the museum’s appeal, accessibility, and preservation of its heritage, extending visiting hours and periods to overcome seasonality. The integration of exhibition spaces with digital content will provide valuable educational support for students and teachers, making the museum’s collection more accessible while diversifying the cultural and tourist offerings of Bellaria-Igea Marina. The "Sulle Onde della Storia" Museum offers a unique experience dedicated to the evolution of communication, with a special focus on radio history, featuring Bellaria’s collection of vintage radios. This innovative museum takes visitors on an interactive journey through the world of radio communications, exploring their historical and cultural impact. Striking a perfect balance between education and entertainment, the experience allows visitors to discover how radio has shaped the past and continues to influence the present, fostering reflection on the power of audio communication. The project includes an innovative reorganization of exhibition spaces, integrating physical exhibits with digital experiences. The use of immersive technologies, augmented reality, and artificial vision will transform the visit into an engaging and interactive experience, broadening the museum’s audience and overcoming the limitations of traditional exhibition formats.
