Final project and executive project and supervision of works for the conservation of the Atelier of the Master and Giacomo Manzu 's permanent exhibition of the Museum Fondazione Giacomo Manzu in Ardea and its thematic garden.
The restoration and functional recovery project covers a portion of those who once were the places of study and work of Giacomo Manzu on "Hill Manzù", allocated on a spur of tufa rock at the gates of Ardea, along Pontina street.
Inside the property, which contains several buildings, including the heirs favorite residence, two main building with a rectangular plan, represent the "heart" of the project, as they constitute the Master atelier , remained the same since the day of his death, the other museum, the Manzù Foundation is "private". The two buildings form a single complex with a characteristic L-free plan and wide open spaces completely open as the classic type of craft and industrial laboratories in the late '50s.
The project covered also the garden next door, designed as a "theater" of temporary exhibitions, and home to some persistent Manzù sculptures and marble blocks used by him. All the essences as then existing trees, oleander, eucalyptus, agaves, pine and olive trees were retained and, where appropriate, integrated with the project of open spaces.
The library has been restored to the original destination of use. With this new project the complex as a whole, aspires to be a place of culture, of study and art in harmony with the places of inspiration and work of one of the greatest artists of the twentieth century.
